CERTIFICATE IN NETWORK ADMINISTRATION

This 3-month program (with 12 sessions of 4 hours each) will introduce participants to:

Through hands-on labs and practical exercises, participants will learn essential skills, such as configuring routers and switches, managing IP addresses, and ensuring network security. By the end of this program, participants will be well-equipped to handle entry-level network administration tasks and prepared for further certification exams, such as CompTIA Network+. – Configuring static and dynamic IP addressing (DHCP)
- Network Protocols & Services
– Key protocols: TCP, UDP, HTTP, FTP, DNS, and DHCP
– Configuring and managing essential network services
– Understanding how data is transferred over networks
- Router & Switch Configuration
– Basics of routing and switching: concepts, protocols, and hardware
– Configuring routers and switches for network connectivity
– VLANs (Virtual Local Area Networks) and inter-VLAN routing
- Network Security & Firewall Configuration
– Introduction to network security principles and best practices
– Configuring firewall rules to control traffic
– Implementing network access control, VPNs, and secure remote access
- Network Troubleshooting & Monitoring
– Common network issues and troubleshooting techniques
– Using network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, SNMP) for diagnostics

Minimum Entry Requirement
– GCE(O/L) 6 passes with Mathematics & English OR
– Students with pending GCE (O/L) results are eligible to apply
