Course Content 

  1. International Business Negotiation

The purpose of this module is to engage learners with the theories and practices associated with international business negotiation. They will develop skills of negotiation in different situations and in cross-cultural contexts, becoming effective and responsible negotiators.

  1. Critical Issues in Business

This module aims to provide an introduction to learning on the MBA programme by evaluating contemporary issues that influence strategic decision making by leaders in a complex and challenging business environment. Participants take a probing and analytical approach to develop and advance their critical thinking and writing skills.

  1. Entrepreneurship Report

This module explores how to identify and exploit a gap in the market and consider tactics and metrics for the key functional areas to produce a convincing business plan including a road map for a business.

  1. Business Research Project

The Business Research Project provides an integrative and multidisciplinary experience to students to demonstrate their original thinking.  It is an opportunity to showcase several important intellectual and practical skills such as evaluation, synthesis, and critical thinking. The project can be an academic or an applied piece of work set within a business and management context.

  1. Management and Organisational Behaviour

The module equips managers with a thorough grounding in organisation theory, behaviour and HRM so as to develop their awareness of the processes and problems of general management at an operational and strategic level.

  1. Strategic Marketing

The purpose of this module is to equip senior and aspiring senior managers with marketing knowledge and skills to help shape organisational success. The module will give participants a strategic perspective of marketing management and an understanding of the strategic marketing planning process.

  1. Managing Operations and the Supply Chain

The purpose of this module is to evaluate relevant and appropriate concepts and applications of supply chain and operations management. It will also enable the students to critically analyse the complex issues underlying the topic. Moreover, the learners will have the opportunity to assess operations and supply chain processes within their own organisations.

  1. Competitive Strategy and Innovation

The purpose of this module is to develop the ability to take an integrated view of an organisation, assessing the relevance and fit of its internal resources and capabilities to a rapidly changing external environment, taking into account environmental, social and ethical factors, whilst seeking competitive advantage where creativity, innovation and values are strategic weapons.

  1. Financial Decision Making

The module is designed to provide students with strategic knowledge and capability in the concepts and applications of accounting, quantitative methods, management information, and IT applications.


Total Credits: 180     

Mode of Assessment: Assignments + Examinations + Presentations

Entry Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree OR 

- CIMA Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting OR

- Recognised Professional Qualification OR

- Any other Qualification deemed equivalent to the above and recognised by the University

Lecture Schedule: Sunday from 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm - Delivered online 

Academic Duration: 15 months

COMMENCEMENT: 10th October


Registration Fee: Rs. 25,000 Including E Library Fee

Course Fee: Rs. 300,000 - Can be paid in 12 Installments of Rs. 25,000 each commencing 3rd month

University Registration Fee: GBP 1000 - Can be paid in 2 Installments of GBP 500 each at the commencment and 2nd Month (An equivalent amount in LKR converted at the exchange rate prevailing on the date of payment)
